Man kills former in-law, dies after hostage siege

A man in southern Albania killed his former father-in-law, wounded his former mother-in-law and held his former partner hostage for several hours before killing himself, police said.

Refit Buzi released the woman before refusing police demands to surrender. She was taken to hospital in Fier.

Police said officers spent several hours trying to persuade him to give himself up.

The attack ended when Buzi shot himself.
