Kosovo has no active lobbying contract in Washington

Kosovo has no active lobbying contract registered in the United States, despite growing pressure on its relationship with Washington.

No contract involving Kosovo’s institutions has appeared under US foreign-agent rules since 2024.

Some former officials say this has reduced Kosovo’s presence among American decision-makers. Others argue that the deeper problem is weak diplomacy and the lack of a clear foreign-policy strategy.

Serbia, by contrast, continues to fund several lobbying contracts in Washington.

Experts say Kosovo needs stronger embassy staff, closer work with the Albanian-American community and clear goals for its engagement with the United States. (RFE)
