Coffee and cigarette imports reached five-year highs in the first half of 2026, while fuel and beer imports fell.
Coffee imports rose by 632 tonnes to 5,392 tonnes.
Cigarette imports increased by 180 tonnes to 1,689 tonnes.
Fuel imports fell by about 13,000 tonnes to 332,000 tonnes. The Finance Ministry linked the decline to higher oil prices during the Middle East conflict.
Beer imports dropped by 765 tonnes to 25,000 tonnes.
Excise revenue rose 4.6% to 33.6 billion lek.
