Israel says it has struck military targets in western and central Iran, hours after President Donald Trump urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate.
The Israeli military gave no details on the exact locations or damage.
Iranian state TV reported explosions in Tehran, Tabriz and Isfahan, as well as near Karaj.
Local authorities in Isfahan said there were no casualties, but details from other areas remain unclear.
Trump had warned that further Israeli strikes could damage efforts to reach a deal with Iran.
Israel also said it had detected a missile launched from Yemen towards its territory.
Iran has suspended incoming flights to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini airport.
