VIDEO/Police officer struck during protest

A police officer was struck in the head during a protest outside Albania’s parliament in Tirana on Thursday.

Video from the scene showed the officer bleeding after protesters confronted police. Authorities had not confirmed his condition or released details of the incident.

Police closed nearby roads and placed metal barriers around parliament. Attendance at the protest was low.
