Officials from seven countries will meet in Tirana on July 27 to discuss foreign disinformation and interference.
The conference will examine how foreign actors spread misleading information and try to influence public debate and democratic institutions.
Representatives from the United States, France, Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Albania are expected to attend.
The talks will cover ways to identify disinformation campaigns and improve coordination between governments, news organisations, universities and civil society groups.
Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said countries seeking European Union membership should take part in Europe’s response to foreign interference.
