The government is preparing a second urban renewal programme to improve public spaces, services and the appearance of Albanian cities and towns.
State Minister Ervin Demo presented “Urban Renaissance 2.0,” a follow-up to the first programme launched after the Socialists came to power more than a decade ago.
The new programme will cover waste management, transport, water projects, parking, public buildings and former industrial sites.
Demo said the aim is to help municipalities improve services and use local assets for economic development.
The programme includes funding for waste management, green transport planning, water and wastewater projects, agricultural logistics and the regeneration of unused industrial areas.
