Coastal resorts face new noise limits

New noise limits are now in force along Albania’s coast during the summer season.

Businesses must keep sound below 65 decibels until 8pm and below 45 decibels from 8pm to 11pm.

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari said inspections would continue throughout the season, despite possible resistance from some businesses.

The government says the rules are intended to protect holidaymakers and improve conditions in tourist areas.
