Iran and Russia pose cyber threat to Albania, US report says

A US security report says Albania faces a serious cyber threat from Iran and Russia.

It cites Iranian attacks that have already disrupted government systems and public websites. The report says foreign powers remain the main source of cyber risk.

Terrorism and crime in Tirana are rated at a moderate level, although no terrorist attack has succeeded in Albania during the past decade.

The report also notes that some recent anti-government protests have turned violent.

Anti-American activity remains rare, and foreign visitors are generally welcomed.
