Rama’s positive rating rises to 49%

A nationwide poll has put Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama’s positive rating at 49.1%, up five points from a similar survey in June.

The poll found 45.4% viewed him negatively, while 5.5% were undecided.

The survey questioned 1,513 adults through randomly sent text messages and reported a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points.

Three quarters of those rating Rama positively said they voted for his Socialist Party last year. Most negative respondents backed the opposition.

Undecided respondents were much younger, with an average age of 27.6.

The poll came a day after Rama acknowledged public frustration with state services in a major political speech.
