MP takes classified US military loan document

An Albanian opposition MP took a classified copy of a $302 million US military loan agreement from a room in parliament before returning it later.

Agron Shehaj said he had signed a confidentiality form and believed he was allowed to take the document to read it.

The governing Socialists accused him of removing classified material and called for his arrest.

The opposition supports the loan but says parliament is rushing approval without giving MPs enough time to examine the agreement.
