Police detained two people outside Albania’s parliament on Monday after a protester tried to break through a security cordon.
The demonstration began before a parliamentary session and marked the 58th day of protests.
The movement began over a planned investment in Zvërnec but now also demands the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the country’s political leadership.
Protesters blocked traffic near parliament and the Interior Ministry. A group threw eggs, tomatoes and other objects towards police.
Those detained included protest organiser Arben Kola.
