European Union officials and Western Balkan leaders are meeting in Tivat, Montenegro, today for a summit on regional expansion and economic policies.
The meeting is chaired by European Council President Antonio Costa and hosted by Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas, and regional leaders, including Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, are in attendance.
The official agenda focuses on EU enlargement, integrating Balkan countries into the single market, and the EU Growth Plan. The single-day event concludes this afternoon with a joint press conference.
The summit follows a four-day tour of the region by President Costa, who visited Bosnia, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Serbia.
