PM says Kanye West concert boosted economy

Prime Minister Edi Rama has celebrated the financial impact of a massive concert by American rapper Kanye West, after fans from eighty countries packed into the capital.

The hip-hop star performed in Tirana on Saturday night inside a sixty-thousand-seat arena built specifically for the event.

Sharing drone footage of the sold-out crowd on Sunday, Mr Rama called the show an excellent investment for the country. He said drawing eighty different nationalities to Tirana for a single night delivered a major financial boost to the capital and elevated Albania's global standing as a tourist destination.
