Two feared dead at Albanian beach after rough seas

Two people are feared dead after five friends got into difficulty in rough seas at a beach in northern Albania.

The group had entered the water at Rana e Hedhun, near the coastal town of Shëngjin, when strong waves reportedly pulled them into danger.

Three others have been taken to hospital in serious condition.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the deaths or the full circumstances.

Police and rescue teams are expected at the scene.
