Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he will travel to Montenegro for a summit of European Union and Western Balkans leaders despite a warning from Serbia's intelligence agency over alleged security threats.
His decision comes a day after Montenegrin authorities deported 87 Serbian citizens they described as a security risk, adding to tensions between the neighbouring countries.
Serbia's Security and Intelligence Agency had advised against the visit, citing what it called hostile activities by foreign intelligence services and criminal groups in Montenegro.
Montenegrin media reported that some of those deported were linked to supporters of Vučić's ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
