Teen girl beaten and filmed in assault

Police in Albania have sent three teenage girls to prosecutors after a 17-year-old reported being beaten and filmed inside a home.

The girl went to police with her mother on June 6. She said she had been attacked by a 19-year-old and two 15-year-old girls.

Police said the three were questioned and admitted assaulting her after a dispute.

The case was sent to prosecutors on June 9 for intentional injury.

One of the 15-year-olds was later arrested in a separate case after her mother said the girl had beaten her and caused injuries.

Police said the 15-year-old was later sent to a specialist mental health facility in Tirana.
