Dutch prime minister says he hopes Kosovo joins European family

Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten said he hopes Kosovo will one day become part of the European family when asked whether it could join NATO.

Jetten spoke briefly to Euronews Albania during the NATO summit in Ankara.

Asked whether Kosovo could one day become a NATO member, he did not give a direct answer on the alliance. He said he hoped Kosovo would become part of Europe’s wider political family.

Jetten also confirmed he still has a dog adopted from Kosovo, saying it was “a very good street dog” and that he loves dogs.
