Storm cuts power across Albania’s southern resorts

A powerful storm has damaged the tourist towns of Saranda and Ksamil in southern Albania.

Strong winds and heavy rain cut electricity to hotels and bars along much of the coast.

Dozens of pine trees were uprooted, blocking roads and disrupting traffic.

Power poles were also brought down, leaving large parts of the area without electricity.

Emergency teams are clearing roads and working to restore power.
