Albanian officers will join Gaza mission

Albanian military officers will join the headquarters of an international stabilisation force in Gaza.

The cabinet is expected to approve the deployment next week.

A military team has already visited the area to assess security and operating conditions.

The first group will consist of staff officers rather than combat troops.

Officials will then decide whether to send a larger contingent.

The number of troops, their location and their duties have not yet been determined.
