A court in Tirana released most of the protesters arrested after Thursday’s clashes outside parliament, leaving two under house arrest.
The hearing concerned 19 protesters who remained before the court after the arrests linked to the July 2 protest.
Two protesters were placed under house arrest, according to Top Channel. The others were released.
Prosecutors had requested jail detention for three of the 21 people initially detained, but the court imposed lighter measures.
The hearing was interrupted twice after defence lawyers asked for time to review the case files.
