Albanians are living better than they were a decade ago, but the gains have not reached everyone, according to a new ALTAX analysis.
The report says Albania has improved in income, education, health, life expectancy and overall wellbeing between 2015 and 2025.
ALTAX says its Albania Wellbeing Index rose from 52.4 points in 2015 to 71.2 in 2025, placing the country in the high human development category for the first time.
But the report also warns that poverty and inequality remain deep.
About 40.5% of people are still at risk of poverty or social exclusion, while around 900,000 live in material and social deprivation.
ALTAX ranks Albania third in the Western Balkans for wellbeing, behind Serbia and Montenegro.
