Greece has told Serbia its position on Kosovo has not changed, during a visit by Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis to Belgrade.
Gerapetritis said Athens still backs the EU-led talks between Serbia and Kosovo as the way to normalise relations.
Greece is one of five EU countries that do not recognise Kosovo’s independence.
The message was welcomed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who thanked Greece for respecting what he called Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Gerapetritis also said Greece supported Serbia’s path towards EU membership and wider enlargement in the Western Balkans.
The two sides also discussed energy, trade and transport links.
