Rama says EU has seen Kushner-linked resort files

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama says the European Commission has seen the official files on the Sazan and Zvërnec resort projects, including a €1.4bn development linked to Jared Kushner.

Rama cited EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, who said Albania had promised a full environmental impact assessment.

Kos said the project would have to meet European environmental standards.

The plans have sparked protests in Albania over their possible impact on protected coastal areas.

Rama said critics should look at the documented process before judging the project.
