The United States may reduce the number of troops it has in NATO’s peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
A US European Command official said Washington would adjust its KFOR contribution after a NATO review of security conditions.
NATO said last week it would gradually reduce its presence in Kosovo over the next year.
KFOR currently has more than 4,600 troops in Kosovo, including about 590 from the United States.
Washington said the mission remains important for stability in the Western Balkans, but gave no details on how many US troops could leave.
