Albania says it will keep supporting Ukraine

Albania says it will keep helping Ukraine as NATO defence ministers met in Brussels to discuss the next stage of aid for Kyiv.

Defence Minister Ermal Nufi said Albania would stand with Ukraine for as long as Russia’s war continues.

He said Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders must be defended.

The remarks came at a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, held alongside NATO defence talks.

Ministers also discussed defence spending, military readiness and the need to strengthen NATO’s armed forces.

Nufi said Albania would continue to play its part in the alliance and remain a reliable NATO member.
