US begins strategic talks with Serbia

The United States and Serbia will start high-level political and trade talks in Washington this Friday.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric to sign new cooperation agreements.

The deal follows Serbia's decision to buy American gas to power its economy.

Meanwhile, Washington has blocked similar talks with neighboring Kosovo after US officials accused its government of causing regional instability.
