Kosovo fuel prices jump again

Fuel prices in Kosovo have risen again as the war in the Middle East continues to disrupt global energy supplies.

The government set the maximum price for diesel at 1.52 euros a liter today, up two cents from yesterday.

Local fuel costs previously reached 1.91 euros after fighting closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for world oil.

While prices dropped briefly last month, the latest increase adds fresh financial pressure on drivers and businesses across the Balkan nation.
