Two tourists stabbed near Athens Acropolis

Two Greek American tourists were stabbed near the Acropolis Museum in Athens on Tuesday.

Police said a woman suffered minor leg injuries. A man sustained more serious wounds to his arm.

Both were taken to hospital.

Officers arrested the attacker at the scene. Police said he appeared to be experiencing psychological problems.

The attack happened at the foot of the Acropolis, Greece’s most visited landmark.
