Business turnover in Albania rose by 11% in the first four months of the year, according to Finance Minister Petrit Malaj.
He said declared turnover was 133 billion lek, or about €1.4bn, higher than in the same period last year.
The strongest growth came from services, which rose by 24.5%.
Malaj said 8,070 new businesses were registered between January and April, also up 11%.
Tax and customs revenues reached 172.7 billion lek, 5.4% higher than a year earlier.
Local revenues also increased, helped by construction activity in Tirana, Vlora, Himara and Saranda.
