Albania could receive 213 million euros from EU Growth Plan

Albania expects to receive 213.6 million euros from its next report on reforms linked to the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

The government is due to submit the report to the European Commission in mid-July. The assessment is expected in September or October.

The report covers reform steps that were due by June 30, including measures for which Albania had been given extra time.

Krisela Haçkaj, who is involved in the reform process, said Albania could also benefit from unused funds lost by other Western Balkan countries. She said up to 400 million euros could be redistributed, although the figure is still preliminary.

The government will also report some measures due in December 2026 that it says have already been completed.

Haçkaj said Albania has completed nearly 48% of the measures linked to the plan. The country has been allocated about 920 million euros under the EU instrument until the end of 2027.
