Protesters stay outside Rama’s office overnight

Protesters spent the night outside Albania’s prime minister’s office after another rally demanding Edi Rama’s resignation.

Police told them not to block Tirana’s main boulevard and warned that the road closure was unlawful.

The protest began on Saturday evening, when crowds gathered outside the government building and marched through the capital.

Organisers said it was the 21st protest against Rama’s government.

Some Albanians from the diaspora joined the rally, carrying flags and banners.

Several speakers called on protesters to stay in the square until the government leaves office.

There were no immediate reports of serious incidents.
