Netherlands and Japan score big World Cup wins

The Netherlands and Japan both won heavily in the latest World Cup matches.

The Netherlands beat Sweden 5-1 in Group F, strengthening their push for the knockout stage.

Japan then beat Tunisia 4-0, keeping themselves firmly in the same race.

Germany also took an important step in Group E with a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast.

In the other Group E match, Ecuador and Curaçao drew 0-0.

The results leave the Netherlands, Japan and Germany in stronger positions before the final round of group games.

Sweden, Tunisia, Ecuador and Curaçao now have more work to do if they want to stay in the tournament.
