Greek television has presented a planned luxury resort on Albania’s coast as a possible new rival to Greece’s Ionian islands.
Star Channel News reported on the project in Zvërnec and Pishë Poro, which is linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump.
The report said the development could cover about 2.5 million square metres and be worth more than $4bn.
It said the project aimed to bring five-star tourism to the Albanian Riviera.
The channel suggested islands such as Corfu and Kefalonia could face stronger competition if Albania attracts more high-spending visitors.
Ivanka Trump and other foreign investors were also mentioned in the report.
