Albania’s constitutional court has rejected a legal challenge against a total ban on electric scooters in cities.
A social justice group had asked the court to overturn the law, arguing that banning the vehicles from urban roads and pavements violates human rights standards.
Judges rejected the case at a preliminary stage, refusing to move the challenge to a full trial.
The decision means the ban remains in force. Authorities will also keep all scooters previously seized from citizens, after the court rejected a request to return the vehicles.
