Opposition cuts feed during leadership clash

Albania’s main opposition party abruptly cut a live video broadcast on Wednesday after leaders began shouting at each other during a high-level meeting.

The conflict started when an angry lawmaker accused party leader Sali Berisha of breaking internal rules to place his own loyalists in top positions.

She interrupted the session to block the vote, shouting that leadership had secretly added dozens of unapproved names to the candidate list.

Berisha repeatedly ordered her to stop talking and follow the official agenda, triggering a tense verbal fight in front of the entire room.

As the argument grew louder, technical staff turned off the public transmission and stopped the meeting completely.
