Argentina defeats England to reach final

Defending champion Argentina reached the World Cup final after completing a dramatic late comeback to defeat England 2-1.

Following a tense and scoreless first half, England gained the advantage when Gordon scored in the fifty-fifth minute.

Argentina immediately responded, but English goalkeeper Pickford blocked an initial shot from McAllister before the midfielder hit the goalpost minutes later.

The continuous attacks finally succeeded in the eighty-fifth minute when Enzo Fernandez scored an impressive goal to tie the match.

During the final added minutes, Lautaro Martinez scored a second goal to secure the victory and eliminate a deeply disappointed English team.

Argentina will now advance to play against Spain in the championship match on July 19.
