Kosovo opposition officials move to replace leader

Senior officials inside the Democratic League of Kosovo have submitted formal signatures to fire their party leader.

The petition demands an immediate emergency assembly to strip Lumir Abdixhiku of his command over poor election results.

Lawmaker Armend Zemaj confirmed that party executives quietly delivered the petition to headquarters today away from cameras.

The rebellion follows consecutive electoral defeats that left the traditional center-right party struggling in third place.

If approved under internal bylaws, the move will force an immediate leadership election to rebuild the party.
