Freedom Party will join opposition's rally on March 3

The leader of the second largest opposition party, the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, declared at a news conference today that his party will be alongside the Democratic Party during the demonstration that the opposition is expecting to hold on March 3.

According to the former president, the issue concerning the Democratic Party's logo, for which the court is yet to reach a verdict, is much bigger than democrats, an issue which decides the fate of pluralism in the country.

"On March 3, Albanians must send a clear message for all judges and prosecutors not to turn into soldiers for Edi Rama and McGonigals," Meta said, referring to the recent allegations made against the PM and his meetings with former FBI official, Charles McGonigal, whom, authorities in the US accuse of collaborating with a sanctioned Russian oligarch.

Meanwhile, Meta has accused the PM of exploiting his connections with the former FBI official for his political gains and to attack the opposition.
