Albania lose friendly to Luxembourg

Albania were beaten 1-0 by Luxembourg in a friendly at Air Albania Stadium.

Daniel Sinani, a Luxembourg forward of Albanian origin, scored the only goal in the eighth minute.

Albania pushed for an equaliser and created several chances, but failed to beat the Luxembourg goalkeeper.

Kristjan Asllani and Myrto Uzuni both went close, while Armando Broja and Taulant Seferi were introduced in the second half.

Luxembourg also threatened on the counter-attack and held on for the win.

The result adds pressure on Albania after another disappointing friendly performance.
