A new hearing in the corruption case against former president Ilir Meta is set for 10 a.m. at Albania’s Special Court.
Meta is charged with corruption, money laundering and concealing assets.
At the last hearing, his former lawyer asked for a new expert review of Meta’s income since 1992 and submitted 134 proposed witnesses.
The list includes Prime Minister Edi Rama, former lawmakers, former party associates and people linked to the CEZ-DIA and lobbying cases, including Charles McGonigal.
SPAK has submitted 110 proposed witnesses. The court will decide who will testify.
Meta changed lawyers after the last hearing. His new lawyer has not been announced.
