Kosovo to receive 206 million euros in EU funding

Kosovo is set to receive 206.4 million euros in EU funding for projects in energy, infrastructure, border management, education and rule of law, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said.

Kurti said the EU’s IPA committee approved 180.5 million euros in projects under the 2026 and 2027 programmes.

Another 25.9 million euros was approved through the Western Balkans Investment Framework.

The money will fund projects on climate, energy, migration, jobs, education, governance and rule of law.

Kurti said about half of the funding will go to infrastructure. The projects still need final European Commission approval and a financial agreement before work can begin.
