Albania joins global anti-terror summit

Albanian Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha has joined over 60 nations in Washington for a major US-led summit on political terrorism.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio opened the event by warning that rising political violence is now a critical global threat.

Hoxha condemned violence as a tool for power, calling it a direct assault on democracy.

He warned that states must share intelligence to block digital attacks after Albania faced persistent cyber threats from Iran.

He urged all democratic nations to unite, warning they must cooperate closely to stop extremists who threaten their shared security and way of life.
