Portugal win big as England are held

Portugal beat Uzbekistan 5-0 to strengthen their position in Group K at the World Cup.

The win moved Portugal to four points after their opening draw with DR Congo.

England were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghana in Group L after opening the tournament with a 4-2 win over Croatia.

The result left England and Ghana level on four points.

Croatia kept their qualification hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Panama.

In Group K, Colombia stayed top with six points after a 1-0 win over DR Congo.

Panama have lost both of their matches and remain bottom of Group L.
