Brazil reach World Cup last 16 after late win over Japan

Brazil have reached the last 16 of the World Cup after a stoppage-time goal sealed a 2-1 win over Japan.

Japan took the lead in the 29th minute through Sano, who scored with a powerful finish, and held the advantage until half-time.

Brazil improved after the break and equalised in the 56th minute through Casemiro.

The decisive goal came in the 95th minute, when Gabriel Martinelli scored from a Bruno Guimaraes assist to complete the turnaround.

Brazil will face the winner of Ivory Coast against Norway in the last 16.
