Albania lose to Israel in Maran’s first match

Albania lost 1-0 to Israel in a friendly in Tirana, in Rolando Maran’s first match as national team coach.

The game at Air Albania Stadium was decided by a second-half goal from Glaukh.

Maran gave Mehmeti a start, and the winger showed some promising signs in the first half.

The defeat gives Albania a losing start under the new coach.

Albania will play another friendly on 6 June, against Luxembourg.
