Thirty-six railway officials are facing life in prison as the trial resumes over Greece's deadliest train crash.
The court in Larissa is hearing defence arguments over the twenty-twenty-three disaster at Tempi. Prosecutors say broken safety systems, severe understaffing, and human error caused the collision.
Fifty-seven people died in the February 2023 crash. A passenger train packed with university students was put on the same track as an oncoming freight train, triggering huge fires and weeks of protests over railway safety.
