Serbia says Banjska attack suspect faces no criminal case

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Milan Radoicic is not being prosecuted for any crime in Serbia, despite his role in the 2023 armed attack on Kosovo police in Banjska.

Asked whether Radoicic is being guarded by Serbian gendarmerie officers, Vucic said he had no such information. He said Radoicic was on an Interpol red notice “because of Kosovo,” not because of crime.

Kosovo has sought Radoicic’s arrest through Interpol, via the UN mission in Kosovo. The EU has said Serbia is expected to arrest and prosecute those responsible for the Banjska attack.

Radoicic remains free in Serbia and has a registered address in Belgrade.
