Serbia detains two over suspected Russian sabotage plot

A Serbian court has kept two men in custody over a suspected Russian-linked plot to carry out a bomb attack in Germany.

German media reported that explosives were found in their luggage after they were arrested near the Serbian-Hungarian border.

Investigators believe the target may have been linked to military supplies for Ukraine.

The court said the men will remain in detention until August 10. Serbian authorities have not disclosed the charges.

Germany has warned that Russia is stepping up sabotage and other hybrid attacks across Europe.
