Pensions to rise by 2.7% from July

Pensions in Albania will rise by 2.7% from 1 July.

The government approved the indexation at its meeting on Friday.

Economy Minister Delina Ibrahimaj said about 900,000 people would benefit.

The increase will apply to old-age pensions, special pensions and maternity-related benefits.

Ibrahimaj said pension indexation was returning to its usual schedule after the government raised pensions twice in 2022, in April and October.

She said the new increase would apply from July this year.
